Looking for things to do in Barbados this weekend? 🇧🇧
October is here, and Barbados is kicking off the month with a mix of cycling, live music, film, community events, outdoor adventure and plenty of opportunities to simply get out and experience the island.
Whether you’re visiting Barbados, spending time with family and friends, or you’re a local looking for something different to do, here are some ideas for Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 4, 2026.
🚴 Tour de Bim 2026
📅 October 1–4, 2026
📍 Various locations across Barbados
One of the big events happening across the island this weekend is Tour de Bim 2026.
The international cycling event runs October 1–4 and features three stages designed to test speed, strategy and endurance. Riders take on different parts of Barbados, turning the island itself into the backdrop for the competition.
Even if you’re not competing, this is a great opportunity to experience another side of Barbados’ sporting culture and catch some of the action as cyclists make their way around the island.
CESN Tip: Routes and times may affect traffic in some areas, so check the latest Tour de Bim information before heading out.
🎶 Friday Evening: Sunset Sounds at W Plaza
📅 Friday, October 2
⏰ 6:00 PM–8:00 PM
📍 W Plaza
Ease into the weekend with live music at Sunset Sounds at W Plaza.
This week’s evening session features Zoe Sunshine on vocals and Okera Hill on violin, bringing live music into the courtyard for an easy Friday-evening experience.
It’s a good choice if you’re looking for something relaxed rather than a full night out.
🎬 Saturday: Possible Landscapes Film Screening
📅 Saturday, October 3
⏰ 6:00 PM
📍 Barbados Museum & Historical Society
For something cultural and thought-provoking, head to the Barbados Museum for a screening of Possible Landscapes.
The film by Kannan Arunasalam explores the Caribbean’s environmental experience through art, science and storytelling. The screening is also scheduled to be followed by an audience Q&A with producers Tao DuFour and Natalie Melas.
This is a particularly interesting weekend pick for anyone interested in Caribbean culture, the environment, film and storytelling.
🚒 Saturday: Wayne Vaughan Memorial Fun Day
📅 Saturday, October 3
⏰ 12:00 PM–9:00 PM
📍 Lears Pasture, St. Michael
The Barbados Fire Service wraps up its week of activities with the Wayne Vaughan Memorial Fun Day at Lears Pasture.
The event runs from noon until 9:00 PM and concludes a week of public activities organised by the Barbados Fire Service.
This provides another community-focused option for your Saturday itinerary.
🥾 Sunday: Hike Barbados at Barclay’s Park
📅 Sunday, October 4
📍 Barclay’s Park
Ready to get outdoors?
Hike Barbados heads to Barclay’s Park this Sunday, giving you an opportunity to explore Barbados on foot and experience the island away from the usual tourism spots. The official Barbados Events Calendar lists the hike for October 4; published information indicates multiple hiking sessions, so confirm the latest starting time before travelling.
Pack water, wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for an active way to spend part of your Sunday.
💗 Walk for a Cause: Walk For The Cure 2026
📅 Sunday, October 4
📍 Barbados Cancer Society / Sheraton Mall
You can also turn your Sunday activity into support for a good cause.
Walk For The Cure 2026 is listed for Sunday, October 4, with the Barbados Cancer Society and Sheraton Mall associated with the event.
Check the organisers’ latest information for registration, meeting points and start times before attending.
🌴 Make It a Barbados Experience Weekend
You don’t need a scheduled event to discover something new in Barbados.
If none of this weekend’s events fits your plans, build your own island day.
🌊 Get Out on the Water
Spend a few hours exploring Carlisle Bay, try snorkelling, take a catamaran cruise or simply enjoy some beach time.
🌿 Explore Inland Barbados
Take a drive through the countryside or make a visit to Harrison’s Cave Eco-Adventure Park. It’s an easy way to combine nature, adventure and one of Barbados’ best-known attractions.
🏛️ Rediscover Bridgetown
Sometimes the best discoveries are places you’ve passed many times.
Take a walk through historic Bridgetown, stop around Independence Square and the Independence Arch, then continue along the waterfront.
🍴 Eat Local
Make one meal this weekend intentionally Bajan.
Try a neighbourhood food spot, pick up cutters, enjoy fresh fish, find a local bakery or visit a restaurant you’ve never tried before.
Supporting local businesses is part of experiencing Barbados too.
✨ CESN Weekend Challenge
This weekend, try one thing in Barbados you’ve never done before.
It could be:
- attending a local event
- discovering a new food spot
- exploring a different parish
- taking a hike
- watching a local performance
- visiting an attraction
- or simply taking a different road and seeing where it leads.
Barbados has much more to discover when we look beyond the familiar.
