There is something special about the Caribbean.
It is not only the sea breeze, the sunshine, the food, the music, or the way somebody can turn a simple gathering into a memory you talk about for years.
It is the people.
It is the auntie who knows the best caterer.
The cousin who can recommend a decorator.
The friend who knows a beautiful venue by the sea.
The driver who knows where visitors should really go.
The small business owner who pours heart, creativity and pride into every event, tour, service and experience.
That is the Caribbean I know.
And that is one of the reasons why the Caribbean Event Suppliers Network, or CESN, is being relaunched.
Why CESN Exists
Over the years, I have seen how much talent exists across Barbados and the wider Caribbean.
We have beautiful venues, skilled vendors, creative entrepreneurs, tour operators, hospitality professionals, cultural experiences, destination wedding suppliers, event planners, photographers, caterers, decorators, entertainers and so many others who help make Caribbean events and experiences unforgettable.
But too often, people still have to depend on word of mouth alone.
Now, don’t get me wrong. In the Caribbean, word of mouth is powerful. Sometimes one recommendation from the right person is better than any advertisement.
But in today’s world, people also need to be able to find trusted businesses online. They need a place where they can search, discover, compare, connect and be inspired.
That is where CESN comes in.
What CESN Is
CESN is a growing online directory and storytelling platform created to help people discover Caribbean:

- experiences
- attractions
- tourism partners
- hospitality businesses
- creative professionals
We are starting with a special focus on Barbados, and then we will continue building toward the wider Caribbean.
This is not just about listings on a website.
For me, CESN is about connection.
It is about helping a couple planning a destination wedding find the right venue.
It is about helping a visitor discover a memorable island experience.
It is about helping a local event planner find reliable suppliers.
It is about helping small businesses become more visible.
It is about celebrating the people who make Caribbean hospitality, events and experiences so special.
Why Barbados First
As a Bajan, Barbados will always have a special place in my heart.
Barbados may be small in size, but we are rich in beauty, culture, talent, creativity and hospitality. We know how to welcome people. We know how to celebrate. We know how to make something feel meaningful.
From weddings and corporate events to island tours, food experiences, cultural attractions, private celebrations and community gatherings, Barbados has so much to offer.
So it feels right to begin here.
Barbados is the starting point, but the vision is Caribbean-wide.
